What is HIFU?
HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound) is a non-invasive treatment which uses ultrasound to encourage collagen production, resulting in plumper, firmer skin for a more lifted and youthful appearance.
HIFU treatment results develop progressively over 6 – 12 weeks.
HIFU treatments have been scientifically proven to:

How does ULTRAcelQ+ work?
ULTRAcel Q+ delivers HIFU deep down into a layer of the skin known as the SMAS layer. This is the same area typically addressed in a surgical face-lift. This stimulates the growth of fresh, new collagen to aid in the healing process with no skin surface damage.

- More comfortable – HIFU has a reputation of being quite painful. With ULTRAcelQ+, clients experience a much more comfortable treatment.
- Treatment time is half the time of other technologies.
- Additional cartridge depth. Other HIFUs utilise 3 cartridge depths for the face, 1.5mm, 3.0mm and 4.5mm. ULTRAcelQ+ also uses a depth of 2.0mm, which benefits lines on the upper face and around the eyes.
What areas can be treated with ULTRAcelQ+?
ULTRAcelQ+ can treat a large variety of concerns, including:
- Loose or sagging skin on the face, neck and body
- Fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, forehead and mouth
- Drooping jowls
- Double chin
- Uneven skin tone and texture
- Large pores
- Acne scars
- Nasolabial folds (lines running from nose down to mouth)
- Marionette lines (lines running from the corners of the mouth to the chin)
Ideal candidates for ULTRAcelQ+
HIFU is suitable for people of all ages and skin types, but particularly beneficial for younger people as an anti-ageing preventative and those who have mild to moderate signs of ageing or skin damage.
Individuals with more severe skin laxity may need additional treatments, perhaps combined with other complementary services or potentially consider more invasive procedures, such as a surgical facelift.

HIFU is not suitable for anyone with open wounds or skin infections until skin has healed.
Pregnant or breastfeeding clients should avoid HIFU.
There are a number of medical conditions which may also be a contraindication for HIFU, such as autoimmune diseases, cancer and bleeding disorders. Seek medical advice or see our specialists if you are unsure if this treatment is for you.
Are there any side effects?
The skin may become reddened, following the procedure. Slight swelling is also possible, which will settle within a few days. All potential complications will be discussed at the consultation, including how our team can help, should you have any questions or concerns.
What areas can be treated with HIFU?
HIFU can treat many areas where there is skin laxity and crepey skin on the body, including face, neck, décolletage, arms, abdomen, buttocks plus more.
Post Treatment Care
Avoid exercise, sun exposure, heat and sweating for 24 hours.
No exfoliation products, such as scrubs, peels, AHA, BHA, Vitamin A – Retinol A for 5-10 days.

When will I see results?
Some results may be seen and felt immediately. Full results can take 2-3 months after treatment, Your body will continue to regenerate collagen for the next 6 months.
How many treatment will I need?
The number of treatments required depends on a number of factors including skin condition, lifestyle and client age & expectations. It is highly recommended to start skincare and collagen supplements at least a week prior to treatment.
