HIFU stands for high intensity focused ultrasound. Known as the non-surgical facelift.

HIFU is a non-invasive treatment which uses ultrasound to encourage collagen production, resulting in plumper, firmer skin for a more lifted and youthful appearance.

HIFU non surgical facelift treatment results develop progressively over 6 – 12 weeks.

ULTRAcelQ+ delivers HIFU deep down into a layer of the skin known as the SMAS layer. This is a muscle which surgeons tighten during a surgical facelift. HIFU energy stimulates the growth of fresh, new collagen to aid in the healing process with no skin surface damage.

HIFU non-surgical facelift is suitable for people of all ages and skin types, but particularly beneficial for younger people as an anti-ageing preventative and those whom have mild to moderate signs of ageing or skin damage.

Individuals with more severe skin laxity may need additional treatments, perhaps combined with other complementary services, or potentially consider more invasive procedures, such as a surgical facelift.

Avoid exercise, sun exposure, heat and sweating for 24 hours.

No exfoliation products, such as scrubs, peels, AHA, BHA, Vitamin A – Retinol A for 5-10 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

The skin may become reddened following the procedure. Slight swelling is also possible, ncerns. will settle within a few days. All potential complications will be discussed at the consultation, including how our team can help, should you have any questions or concerns.

HIFU typically has a reputation for being uncomfortable. ULTRAcelQ+ is a more advanced technology, delivering the treatment much faster than other HIFU modalities, which prevents the discomfort associated with HIFU. It is common to feel tightness in the treated areas for a few days after.

Some results may be seen and felt immediately. Full results can take 2-3 months after treatment, your body will continue to regenerate collagen for the following 6 months.

Because our skin will always continue to age, no skin treatment is permanent (including a surgical facelift). HIFU provides the longest lasting results from a cosmetically provided procedure.
Results from each treatment can last anywhere between 12-24 months, which largely depends on how skin is looked after.

The number of recommended treatments depends on a number of factors. Typically 1-3 treatments to achieve desired results is required, which is based off age, skin condition, lifestyle and home skincare regime. Your specialist will be able to provide you with a more accurate indication at a consultation.
