What is Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is a specialised massage technique designed to support the body’s natural lymphatic system, helping to reduce fluid retention, ease bloating and enhance body definition. Many clients notice a lighter, more sculpted feeling after treatment.

HOW DOES DETOX SCULPTING MASSAGE WORK?

Our Detox Sculpting Massage is a technique of Brazilian lymphatic drainage, created by Rebecca Faria (Detox by Rebecca). This is a full body, deep, firm massage to help encourage the removal of toxins. 

As well as a hand massage, a vacuum machine is used over various areas of the body, this is an additional feature of the Rebecca Faria method compared to other lymphatic drainage treatments.

The benefits of the machine are: improves elasticity and skin tone; boosts metabolism; smooth cellulite; breaks down fat; speed up blood circulation; improves muscle tone; activates the lymphatic system.

After your Detox Sculpting Massage, enjoy a herbal tea, to further enhance the benefits of your treatment.

 

POST-TREATMENT CARE

Avoid sugars. 

An infrared sauna prior to, or after your massage is advantageous.

To assist with your results, we recommend drinking at least 2.5 litres of water, and avoid alcohol for 3 days post treatment. This is because your liver will prioritise the breakdown of alcohol over the removal of the fat.

Lymph fluid is composed of water, proteins, and larger cell fragments, or toxins. These waste products are pushed away from the tissue toward the lymph nodes. Once, reaching the lymph nodes it is then filtered, with toxins leaving the body via urine and/or sweat.

Pressure needs to be firm and can sometimes be uncomfortable, particularly if Edema is present.Pressure can be adjusted to suit comfortability of the treatment.

Fatique is the most common side effect, particularly after your first session. Along with headaches and nausea. With any side effects, the intensity generally subsides over time.

Results from the Detox Sculpting Massage are immediate, and can continue to improve for some time after the treatment. Build up in the bladder would be normal.

We recommend to avoid alcohol, drink plenty of water prior to and after your treatment. As well as a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
